I got back from Denny's at about 1:30. I had had dinner with Melissa and crafted the second chapter of the massive saga that we're sending to Max while he's in South Carolina attending basic training. I walked to the mailbox to check and see if the AUX cord I ordered had come in, and had the best trip to the mailbox ever. Waiting for me was the previously mentioned cord from Hong Kong, the vintage Stevie Nicks-style dress from London that I had not expected for another week, and a one page, single sided letter from Max. It opens with, "Oh my God! That letter was so hilarious! It was a hit in my bay. Everyone is asking for more so you need to send more ASAP!" Also, it ends with, "P.S. So who is this new girl, giggidy-goo."

It's really hard making all these great memories this summer without him.
