Obligatory Political Post

Man, sorry. I've been busy.

That might just be a cop-out.

Anywho, it's been good here. We finally have someone in office that I can give my unyielding support and hope to, and I never thought I would see that in my lifetime. Barry-O came to ASU way back when, right after the primaries had barely started. I decided to see him because I had never seen a presidential candidate before, and wanted to start doing my research as soon as possible. Probably after the first 15 minutes, I had begun telling myself not to fall in love so quickly; it was so early and I still didn't know all the other candidates' views. And yet, I knew that he was going to be my boy, my candidate. And look where I am now! So full of hope and actually excited about the future. It's been a fantastic cycle.

And John McCain! Man on man. 8 years ago (yes, when I was 12, leave me alone) I had said that he would be the only Republican candidate I could ever possibly vote for. But he was so insane this year. I don't even want to get into it. And the only trace I could find of 2000 John McCain was in his concession speech, and by then it was obviously too late. I'm still a little frustrated that he didn't win the Republican ticket in 2000, because I think he would have handled 9/11 fantastically (possibly even better than Al Gore might have).

It was great watching history being made, but I'm glad this is over. Now I'm even more excited to watch Barack Obama kick some serious Bush Administration ass. He's already started and he isn't even officially president!
